Kaizen:
Japanese term that refers to continuous improvement.
A philosophy of making constant small improvements in processes, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Gemba:
The physical place where real work happens (factory, workshop, etc.).
Often paired with Genchi Genbutsu: “Go to the real place, observe the problems at the source.”
Legacy of Ritsuo Shingo:
Son of Shigeo Shingo (Father of Modern Manufacturing).
Translator of the first book on TPS into English.
Nobel Prize in Manufacturing.

The Toyota Production System (TPS) is the accumulation of small improvement ideas through acts of leadership.
Leadership begins at the Gemba. Gemba Kaizen starts with a good Lean leader. A good Lean leader begins by being a good person—and a good person is honest, reliable, and capable.

Primi Cachero is an Executive Coach, Interim Change Maker Officer (CMO), and facilitator in Practical TPS Leadership and Lean Change.
From 2021 until his passing in 2023, Primi had the unique honor and privilege of being personally mentored by Toyota Sensei Ritsuo Shingo (Shingo San) in TPS Leadership, Gemba Walks, Kaizen, and Practical Leadership skills.
This was a one-of-a-kind coaching-mentoring program, the only one ever conducted outside of Toyota by Shingo San, making Primi Cachero the only Spanish facilitator of Practical TPS Leadership and Lean Change.
